Coolants and antifreeze
PETRONAS PARAFLU family antifreeze and coolants are designed for cooling system protection of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, trucks, agricultural machinery and construction machinery. They provide maximum protection against freezing, boiling, corrosion and scaling formation.
Car coolant plays a crucial role in engine coolant. Modern coolants provide engine protection against overheating, corrosion and stop foams. During winter radiators and all cooling system does not freeze even at high below zero temperature.
Coolant color does not make any difference, thus different manufacturers distinguish their brands.
Coolant system maintenance and repair of radiators is expensive, therefore it is important to change the coolant in time that the cooling system would be clean and tidy. Regardless of the ambient temperature, engine load and speed, the coolant temperature must be 85°C – 95°C.
During maintenance of cooling, fan drive belts inspection, radiator surface cleaning, fluid thermal mode control and temperature control devices, coolant freezing temperature and other fluid characteristics are inspected by a special device called refractometer.
You must carefully choose not only lubricant, but also coolant and/or antifreeze following vehicle or equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
